ILS graduates: explorers of tomorrow

Eighty graduates of Fontys International Lifestyle Studies recently received their diploma. They presented their work for three days in EVE, the former polygonale loods in the heart of Tilburg. The fifth Gradution Expo, with the theme Future Nomads, attracted a lot of visitors. The network meeting was also well attended. During this evening the graduates presented their concepts to representatives of companies and governments. Teacher Futures Research Tessa Cramer spoke reassuring words. ‘There is enough work to be done’, she said. The figures speak for themselves. Over the past five years, 376 students have graduated. Almost 90 percent has a job. ‘Fontys ILS has matured after five years', remarked education manager Anja Sparidaans. She zoomed in on the characteristics of the programme. ‘Trends are always the starting point for the concepts that our students develop. Another important mission is that the concepts contribute to a better society. This is clearly visible and anchored in the programme profile.’
